Luke Alexander Stribling beat a 17-week-old puppy to death

A University of Central Florida student was arrested on Friday and charged with two counts of felony animal cruelty for torturing and beating his 17-month-old puppy to death, reports the Orlando Sentinel.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Luke Stribling, 20, admitted to intentionally beating his dog. Before charges could be pressed, authorities had to wait for results of the pup’s necropsy.

On June 12, Stribling brought his Shiba Inu puppy named Julian to East Orlando Animal Hospital, stating the puppy had broken his leg two days prior when he became caught between wooden slats on the deck. After radiographs were done on the dog’s leg, additional fractures were discovered. When brought into the vet, the puppy had been shaking in pain, and the veterinary hospital reported Stribling to Animal Services for not providing the dog with immediate care.

On June 26, just two weeks later, Animal Services arrived at Waterford Lakes Animal Clinic to find Julian dead. According to vet reports, the puppy had been kicked to death and Stribling  stated he “hit the dog several times because he was frustrated” when the puppy had urinated on the floor.

A necropsy revealed  Julian suffered a broken rib, sternum and abdomen with traumatic lesions and head injuries causing his death.

According to Click Orlando, Stribling was released from jail on a $1,500 bond. During the investigation, records show Stribling was ordered by a judge to attend a four-hour class on responsible pet ownership at Orange County Animal Services and paid a $256 fine. If convicted, he could face a maximum sentence of five years in prison.

  3. Do all of you realize that within a span of a few months, (3) college mies abused a dog? This POS is the only one who killed his. Ishmael Zamora from Baylor University (a football player) abused his young Rottie to the point of making it cry and it went on snapchat. Baylor, who proudly claims its a “Christian” college, made him sit out (3) football games. He was charged with a misdemeanor and given a citation. Big whoop! The next Michael Vick He’ll get a lucrative FB contract. State’s Breck Ruddick (another football player) has been was suspended indefinitely from his team and charged as well. He has admitted what he did after initially denying it. Ruddick beat his neighbors dog that he was watching (42# dog) shattering his jaw which required surgery & the removal of (6) teeth. He said he” lost his cool” while the other (2) were enraged by pee pee accidents. Luke REALLY disturbs me because by the necropsy (which BTW only takes (3) days) little Julian was abused for over half his young life. Luke looks like he’s a regular size guy while the other (2) monsters are over 6′ tall & 225#. WTF is wrong here?

  4. Took me a bit as conflicting reports regarding animal control’s involvement. Still sorting it out under FOIA but in interim wanted to get this out. Most disturbing; 3 colleges, 3 male students (although this little rat turd is the sole killer of the group). Please promote petition on Facebook (I’m not on there) so we can get 💙Justice4Julian💙 Thanks! Petition➡http://ow.ly/HfqP305fVwX

  5. Media reports have changed! They no longer say:
“On June 12, Stribling brought his Shiba Inu puppy named Julian to East Orlando Animal Hospital, stating the puppy had broken his leg two days prior when he became caught between wooden slats on the deck. After radiographs were done on the dog’s leg, additional fractures were discovered. All that is gone! I contacted ACO today and then said the first tie they heard about Julian was when Luke brought him to a different vet already deceased. I requested their records.

  6. The media reports. They are different than they were originally with respect to the initial vet visit of June 12. They used to say what I c&p from your post (that pup was shaking in pain, they took x-rays and found additional fractures, and that they reported him to ACO. I can’t find a single article that says that anymore. And as I wrote above, ACO told me today that first time they learned of Julian was from second vet. Rather bizarre

    • I spoke to first vet practice today. They did not x-ray or find additional fractures nor did they report to ACO. Not sure why 2 FL media outlets report it the way but have since retracted.

      • I d/l the video using the apps you led me to but don’t now how to put it into the comment section. It lends a real “visual” effect to the autopsy reports.

      • The necropsy on Luke Stribling’s 7.5 lb puppy Julian indicated his cause of death. It was from prolonged abuse and trauma inflicted on a helpless puppy because Luke Stribling FAILED to potty train Julian and therefore he tinkled in Stribling’s apartment:

        Brain Hemorrhage Severe
        Trachea (throat) Hemorrhage Severe
        Muscles Hemorrhage Moderately Severe
        Liver Fracture
        Eyes Hemorrhaged Moderate to Severe
        Lungs Congestion Moderate
Bone Ulna (front leg) Fracture (old)

Stribling pled ‘not guilty’ on November 1.
This link gives more details plus a video. I strongly suggest you watch it.

      • I check weekly on any petition I’ve written or am promoting to see how the #’s are. I also have google alerts set up that notify me if something hits the news. However found them a bit unreliable so just manually check names. That’s how I came upon the latest with Stribling. If it’s a case I’m personally working I request police reports etc under FOIA. Most are compliant ~ except Arkansas.

  7. Luke Striblings high price Orlando attorney filed a motion to have the charges dismissed as poor Luke’s was denied due process. The reason? Attorney MoneyBags was unable to have an independent examination of the murdered 7 lb puppy (tortured & beat to death in June 2016) because after the necropsy, this innocent angel’s body was cremated. This week the judge REFUSED to drop them and denied the motion. Court is scheduled for March 13. Florida is impressing me I must say.
