Robert W. Stanko, 59, of 133 Northgate Place, Burr Ridge, was charged with cruelty to animals after a witness reported seeing him punch, kick and slam his 1-year-old English Setter, Toby, to the ground at about 4:10 p.m. Nov. 4. The dog was taken to the Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge.
