An anonymous call came into the Fulton County Animal Services about a three-month-old puppy being tossed over a high fence on Wednesday night. The puppy had severe injuries and suffered not only head trauma, but he’s clearly emaciated, covered in what looks to be old cigarette burns, and they found an “abnormal” anus! The medical team was so upset by his condition that a cruelty investigation is being started. There is no question that Caleb suffered cruel and sadistic torture over time. They also discovered he has a broken jaw. According Jackie O’Sullivan on the organization’s Facebook page early Saturday afternoon, “When we rescued Caleb the odds were stacked against him as he only had a 30% chance of survival, but we were going to try everything medically possible to give him every chance. Due to the abuse he suffered the damage was already so severe. So we knew, it would be an uphill battle. He had the very best medical treatment by our amazing team of Doctors who provided around the clock care for Caleb. He passed peacefully on his own which we are grateful for his little defeated weak body just could not fight anymore.”
A $5,000 reward has been offered by Rescue Dogs Rock NYC for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Caleb’s abuse. “We stand by the $5000 reward & someone knows who did this to sweet Caleb, so we hope he will get justice and that it will be reported. No doubt the sick person responsible will or is doing this again, so it’s very important they be stopped! Please call in and make a report if you have any knowledge of this crime!!!!”

I can’t even bear the thought of what was done to poor, precious puppy Caleb. At this very moment there’s one of the very worst kinds of animal abusing PSYCHOPATH/S still out there on the loose!!! I wish there were bounty hunter’s who worked on the behalf of abused animals. One’s who would hunt them down and bring them to swiftly to JUSTICE. Although no amount of meaningful justice could even be enough to reflect this HORRIFIC CRIME of CRUELTY. OMG…this is nothing to ignore, whatever BASTARD/S responsible need to be apprehended sooner than yesterday!!! I’m sure it isn’t the first criminal act like this that s/he has committed, nor will it be the last…until they’re stopped dead or alive in their tracks. I sincerely wish there was the death sentence for those who intentionally harm animals, or children in any way like this. I know for a fact that there’s countless many of us who feel the same. We’re always sickened to our very core every time these types of demented crimes are inflicted upon innocent sentient beings. I just want to lash out on them in the worst way possible…as in an eye for eye!!! The vigilante side of things has entered my mind, I’m sure more than a thousand times by now over the years. And for the same reason’s as you, not being so young anymore, and of course the lack of funds…simply only makes it a pipe-dream. I’ve always thought, though if I were ever to win the lottery…I’d better not say too much more as I wouldn’t want the law knocking on my door…if I ever were to win:-) What makes things double the HORROR of it all, and adds insult to injury, is that most times when these degenerate animal abusers go before the judge they get off with far too lenient a sentence. That’s what pisses me off royally!!! Especially when you’re aware that the presiding judge always has the option of delving out a maximum sentence!!! As well, it should be made mandatory that they receive a lifetime BAN prohibiting them from owning, working around, or having in their possession an animal of any kind, including birds. However, I’ve seen where quite a few times the ban is only put in place for a couple of years or so…which is just completely INSANE!!! They should also be made to undergo ANGER MANAGEMENT…although I really believe they’re far too gone for that to do anything at all. And then of course we always hear the argument about how tax payer’s become involved then. Cruel, so called humans who prey on vulnerable animals, like whoever is responsible for torturing baby Caleb, are obviously a high RISK factor, and recidivism is most likely to occur. As maddening as it is…they can’t possibly be kept under surveillance 24/7:-( Animals are powerless, defenseless and voiceless and, they aren’t capable of reporting the crimes against them, nor are they able to stand up and testify on behalf of themselves in a court of law. Therefore, they need strong advocates working on their behalf to bring about a crucial change in attitude…simply because nothing about this crime is acceptable in anyway. Finger’s crossed that the piece of work who snuffed out Caleb’s young life will either end up seeing the inside of a cold, and miserable jail cell for several years, or be admitted to criminal psychiatric ward of a mental facility for just as long a period. I’ve been losing sleep over this ever since its been posted from the very start and I’m crying my heart is bleeding inside for this poor baby and I have so much rage inside and out. The police need to find the person and lock him/her or them for the rest of life without any chance of parole immediately I don’t care how they find the piece of waist of human being just find it and torture it make that person feel what Caleb felt and then some with no food or water. I was actually praying and hoping that Caleb would have made it because I would have adopted him and brought him to Canada to be with me and my other 4 dogs in a happy safe and loving home. I can say that if I would even see anyone abuseing a dog I’d go insane on the person. I am so angry I just wish I could run into this bastard. I think the FBI should get involved with people like this. I am just shacking with so much rage.
